Getting ready for my operation (Photo-dynamic Therapy)

Well It`s not really an operation more as a cosmetic procedure, and in my eyes it`s not a unnecessary one. And, I have high hopes that it will finally make me happy in my own skin, literately.
As a young girl, I hit puberty at a very early age, 10, I grew breasts way faster and bigger than any of the other girls in my grade, I got my period WAY before anyone else. I got all the common signs of puberty that everyone else gets. Though my skin was never that bad, I've always been able to manage it, my chin did become discoloured, forcing me to wear cover-up constantly because of how embarrassed I was from the grey pigmentation.
From the age of 12-16 I never had a problem with my skin, if I broke out, I broke out, it was never anything too bad, a little here, a little there. I always broke out on the cornor of my chin, and my cheeks under my cheekbones. Though never anywhere else, my skin without marks look great.  However I had the horrid habit of picking, something I learned from my mom and sister. And so in doing so, I wasn't left with icepick scars where it looks like there is a hole in the skin, or white fleshy scars, I was left with bright red hyper pigment scarring that looked like pimples. So even when I was having a good week with no pimples, it still looked like I had them.
Over the years I got very very good at hiding them with my makeup skills, however, I always wanted to be able to have the confidence to leave the house without any makeup on, even just going to anwser the door I feel I need a fully foundation face.
Guys this is really REALLY hard to show, but I have to to prove my point.

And just so you guys know, these are NOT pimples, as much as they look it, those are the scars
with and without makeup, and this is it on good days....

Everyone always told me, If I would just get a tan you wouldn't notice them. But, as some of you know, I love my white skin, and if anything I want it to be whiter. I really do have a doll complex. Not to be dressed like one, or like a dolly princess, I want to be as pale and clear looking as those beautiful glass dolls, innocent and sweet looking... But sadly, every little thing I have tried to do has done little to nothing to lighten my pigmentation.
So yesterday, I asked to get off work early, mom picked me up, and we went to a cosmetic clinic on the other side of the city. I spoke with the doctor, she said I had acne, (Which I didn't think I ever did because my break outs were never as bad as some peoples)
She knew I had a problem when I came into her office after I had gone with her assistant and had a towel covering my face when I came back after washing off my makeup so she could get a better look. And As she was looking at my skin closely, I started to cry.
After explaining a lot to me, making me realize, no wonder it's going to take me 8 years to become a dermatologist, She said if I left my "Hyper cystic scarring" (Or something like that) Because they are deep cyst like scars, if I didn't try and do something for them soon, when I got older, they could turn into icepick scars, and white ones.
She told me the best treatment for it, and that is something called.  PDT, or Photo-dynamic Therapy. It takes about 3 hours all together and costs roughly around 400$ Canadian.
What they do is:
Start me on Levulan, a type of topical lotion (30-50$) that I am prescribed and start to take.
Next step, I am to use for a few weeks before the operation, I use a 10% Glycolic acid peel, to be put on three times a week.
(I will post review on it later)
Next, when I'm actually ready for the procedure, They start me off with a Microdermabrasion, then Ultrasonic Lontophoresis (which I keep on my face for about an hour, its a type of lotion or medicine) Then they treat me with blue light which activates then Lontophoresis, and they attach the bacteria in my cystic scars. It also pocks mico-holes in my skin to help the bacteria escape and let new healthy cells grow in the old scar tissue
Once the operation if finished, I cannot go out into any sun light or florescent lights for at the very least 4 days. So I'm planning on booking off at least a week from work.
During the first 4 days, I am going to be as red as a well cooked lobster, my skin will be hot and tight, and on day 3 I will flare up. Though that is just the bacteria being pushed from my healing skin. On day 4-5 My skin will peel LIKE A SNAKE SKIN.
When I saw the pictures of the before and afters of many patients before me, I almost started crying, because I was so scared to let me face be that way. But on the 5-7th day the skin is normal and normally 98% of patents see a great improvement after only one treatment. Which I'm so scared that I will be one of the 2% that sees no change at all.
Here are some before an after of 1-3 threatments

Though... Even if it lightened them by half, I think I could live so much more happy. Yes I know beauty is only skin deep, but these scars are very deep. But, I take such good care of my skin, I don't pull, pock, I try to go days without wearing makeup if I can help it. I remove my makeup always when I get home before ever washing it, wash ever night before going to bed, everyday, I use masks, I exfoliate once-twice a week, I steam when needed, I stay out of the sun and use spf 90 sunscreen. I make sure everything I use on my skin is non-cominogenic, I use a moisture serum, a great moisturiser, I try not to lay on my face when I sleep, a drink lots of water, I've cut out meat from my diat, and only eat fruitd and veggies. But nothing, nothing changes, and it's not fair.
I don't care if I were the ugliest, fattest, dumbest girl alive, I just wish I could have healthy skin. I take such good care of myself, and I wish my skin could reflect that... without tons of cover-up.
My older sister, who is basically like my mother, when I called her, and told her about it and the price, she said, right away "Do it." She's been there by my side and seen how much my skin hurts me, she's seen how much I care and try and keep my skin safe, and agrees it's not fair that I can't have the skin I should.
Right now she's been on my case to save up all my money for her wedding in Mexico this winter, so I was kind of surprised, but glade, when she said do it, so quickly after hearing the price, and supported my choice to have it done.
I do have enough money, just from work alone, but I also have my bonus from work coming at around 160-220$, and my GST back pay from three years that I should be getting in July, which is supposed to be between 400-800$ free money. So I have enough for at least on operation. It's hard though, because I've never spent that much money on myself before in one shot.
I really just hope, I'm sick of working so hard, and having nothing to show for it. I'm sick of crying, and feel so sickened by my skin that sometimes I can't look in a mirror. Yes I know so many others out there have it so much worse than I do. But like the doctor told my mom when she said,
Mom: "I don't think her skin is that bad..."
Dr. : "It doesn't matter, it's her skin, and she's clearly not happy in it."
So I hope you guys don't think me too shallow for doing this. And please stay tuned in, I will keep you all updated on this as the weeks go by, and I will be taking many before and after pictures of my skin, before, during and after recovery.

Watch out for my next post cause I'll be reviewing the Glycolic Acid gel I was prescribed.

Skinfood Rose Cheek Chalk #2 Peach: Review

SkinFood Review: Rose Cheek Chalk #2 Peach

As some of you might know, I love SkinFood, and I love the color Peach, so naturally I loved this cream blush when I first got it. Ordered it off Ebay from a seller, with it I received three samples (All anti-ageing so I can`t use them lol but it's the thought that counts.)

Cream blush are great when you want to achieve a more natural, and flushed look (I think anyway) I love the natural dewy look myself. Not to mention their easy to apply and look great whether worn heavy (not too heavy though) as well as light.

This one comes in three shades, Rose pink, Peach, and Orange. I`m hoping to order the pink one sometime this month. Personally I think the packaging is simple, but cute. I know some Asian brands can look very girl and childish, and almost look like you picked them up from the Dollar store.

(Only wearing BB cream and Cream blush)

Price: 11$ Canadian

For the price I think you get what you paid for and more, the color is very vibrant, its creamy and spreads smoothly and evenly, and doesn`t look chalky once dry. A small amount goes a very long way, I will definitely be re-perching this item. I have not broken out from this blush, (I`ve never broken out from a blush before regardless of type) but I do know of some people who do break out from blushes. I have very VERY sensitive skin and this one did not cause my any problems.

UPDATE: Sorry about the quality of the pictures, I took them a few months back when I first got this product so i was kind of lazy when taking the pictures, I still haven't gotten my camera back from my sisters. She`s being lazy and taking forever to send it to me! And I did buy a new one, tested it one, but it SUCKED compared to the one I have right now, and that one is only 7.0m and this one was 14.0m. So I took it back, I guess I`ll have to hold off until she sends it to me. Which sucks because I got all my stuff I ordered from SASA today and I wanted to show it off in a haul, and I still need to do my Calgary Haul. I hope you guys can be patent with me.

Quick update: Back from Calgary

Well I`m back from Calgary, had a great time, I really needed the time away to refresh myself. I actully ended up not spending as much money as I thought I would up there. So I have quit a bit left in my savings.
I can`t wait tell the end of the month and I get my tax return: 500$ and backpay for my GST for about  around 400-600$, strait into my savings.

I wanted to post a haul, BUT I left my camera at my sisters >.< So I guess tomorrow I'm ganna have someone take me over to the store to buy a new one. I was in need of a new one anyway. I wanted to run over there today sense it was my day off, but last night I came down with a very very nasty Fever, almost taken to the hospital, oh the fun it lol.

I'll be posting something up soon <3    Also I want to thank my 20 Followers <3 When I get to 50 I think I'll have a little give away.

January Haul / 20th Birthday

So nothing too much, just a little haul for the month of January, and a little post about my 20th birthday.

First off, makeup products and whatnot. Not too much, mostly because I`m on a all natural kick, and I don`t wear too much makeup. I like looking as natural as possible.

But the things I did get are as listed.

SkinFood: Mushroom Triple function BB cream (Shade#: 1)
This is my all-time fav BB cream, it (used) to match my skin perfectly, but now I am a shade too light for it, and 1 was the lightest shade :(

SkinFood: Good AfterNoon BB cream: Honey black Tea(Shade#: 1)
I haven't had a chance to properly use this, but I love the smell and it's basically the same shade as my Mushroom BB cream, only maybe half a shade lighter, with a more pink undertone.

Avène: Toner
I`ve been using this sense the night I got this, so almost a month now, and my skin feels so soft after, I use it in the morning before moisturiser and makeup, and at night. It feel like I`m putting water on my skin, no smell, no burning or irritation.

Avène: Soothing Hydrating serum

Now, if you know me, you know I love Korean skincare, and right now, my regimen is pretty much mimicked that of a Korean girls (Kind of) And I needed a serum to make it so. Though I`m kind of tempted to buy more serums sense this one worked so well. I always get a dry patch near the right side of my mouth and chin, sense using this, I haven't had any dry flakes what so ever. It`s non grease and spreads nicely over my entire face.

RiceDay Soap: I got this off Ebay and I am IN LOVE WITH IT! This stuff is wonderful. I was always iffy about using bar soap on my face, but this stuff is so moisturizing and deep cleaning. And it really does whiten your skin. I`ve seen my face go at least half a shade lighter, and some of my hyper pigmentation starting to lighten.
Not to mention its extremely moisturising. (Didn't take a picture)

I also got a bunch of little samples with my BB creams, and when I bought my Toner and Serum, the lady was nice enough to give me more of the Avène line, I think she wants me to get hooked on it lol.

I added them to my already giant box of samples

My OTAKU HAUL

I have a very very massive problem I know lol. I have been collecting Manga sense I was ten years old, and I must be, by now, at about 400 manga volums. But this month I think was the most I ever bought in a month. This includs Asian Horrors (I love them too much lol) Manga, and anime.

It`s only the 6th of February, and already I`ve ordered 7 books online. At least I fineshed two series, Peach girl, and Mars, that only too me 4 years lol

Now on to my birthday, I turned 20 this month :( and no I`m not happy about it, I`m getting so old, I`m going to be haggard soon (No I`m not fishing, I`m just really scared that I`m going to look in the mirror one day and look like my mother O.O My older sister fears this as well)

Now, I don`t have a family really, I have people I live with, and am related too by blood. But I don`t have a family. To me a family is people who care and love you, and are there for you.

So I can`t say I enjoy my birthday. I had to work. But Dan picked me up, and when I got to the car he had my fav flowers, (White Lilies) He took me out for dinner (be would not let me get into his car without opening the door for me lol), though because it was early we stopped at the anime store and I bought myself a few birthday presents, Loveless (complete anime series) A few manga`s, then we stopped at a gameshop, and I bought myself Kingdom Hearts: Re:chain of memories.

As his present he bought me a Superman hoodie, funny, superman is my least fav Hero, but I love his symbol. (Too lazy to take a picture right now)

I didn't bother going home after work, I didn't want to, so we just went strait from my job out. I looked like crap that night.

We had dinner then went to a little place with really good ice cream, then after we went to the movies. Saw the Immortal`s. It was actually pretty good. Though he kept bitching about how it sucked compared to 300 (which I haven't seen)

I've been here for 20 years, Hopfully fate will let me still be here in another 20.

And as another little gift to myself , I`m going out to Calgary on the 14th to see my sister. Sense she`s the only person I consider family. So I`ll be doing some shopping while I`m up there. So I`ll be doing another Haul at the end of this month.

Gyaru prectice

See what happens when you don`t do gyaru for month and month? Though I guess this one isn`t too bad, It turned out better than I thought it would. Personally I think I need alot more work at this.
(Nude)

(end result)

(closed)

(side angle)

Today I didn`t have work, and I had no plans to go out, so just sitting at home, lazing about I thought I would do a little Gyaru eye make up, I didn`t want to make up my entire face, cause I work the next three days in a row, I try and give my face as much of a break from makeup whenever I can. So I just ended up doing the eyes, one eye to be exact, half way through the one eye, I was like, Meh this is just practice, I`ll only do one eye, talk about lazy huh.

Things I used:

Circle Len: Princess Mimi grey
Top lashes: From Quo
Bottom Lashes: DollyWink Baby doll
Concealer: SkinFoods Salmon darkcircle concealer cream
Color Pallet: nude (from ebay)
Liquid line: Sephora eyeliner pen
Mascara: Mac: False Lashes mascara (top) Maybelline (bottom)
WaterLine liner: Annebell white eyeliner
Maybelline brow gel
Anyway I hope you guys like, I`m always open to hearing feedback.

Review: LIKES Papaya soap

Likes Papaya soap

I`ve never liked tan skin, not for myself anyway. I know everyone in my family are very tan, always in the sun. I try and avoid it, because 10 minutes in the sun and I start to get color.

The other night at work, I was talking with my co-worker Diana, originally from the Philippines, she`s been living in Canada for about 3 years now. Her and I were talking about skincare and cosmetics, mostly Korean ones, and how in Asia they`re obsessed with whitening products, while here it`s mostly about anti-aging and wrinkles, as well as trying to become darker. I have to admit, I have such a hard time finding normal serums for hydration and whitening.
During our conversation, I mentioned how I wanted to be paler, and that the night before I bought Rice Day soap online, but mentioned how I wanted to get Papaya soap but was worried about the drying factor that I`ve heard about it.
Right away she started telling me about how it works and how she can buy me some, I told her that the only place I could buy it was online for around 10$ a  bar. But she told me there was a Pilipino shop just around the corner from our work! (Talk about covenant)
The next day when dad picked me up, I went and bought myself two bars, 5.25$ a bar. So I got two for the price of one, if I would have gotten it online.

I don`t think I will use this one my face, because I have extremely sensitive skin, and sense this is drying, I don`t want it to dry out my face, only recently I found a regiment that works, and I haven't dried out for almost 3 months now. I don`t want to wreck it now, considering I`ve gone about two years with harsh dry patches of my face. I know I`m already pretty pale, next to my family members I glow, but I was to be like a porcelain doll.

Box: Front and Back

Bar: Front and Back

A little about Likes: This is a natural soap that helps to lighten your skin tone. It is made from Papaya, hence the name. Papaya is very high in vitamin C and enzymes, when applied to the skin, papaya enzymes help to eat away dead skin, reviling healthy new cells under, which will help to brighten your skin.

I will be using this on my body, mostly my neck and armpits, sense their different color then the rest of my body. My arm pits are very VERY dark, they look unhealthy, almost black in a way, I have tried everything to change that, I clean then well, always scrub with soap and water and a cloth, I have gotten them waxed, and I take very good care of them, but no matter what they stay the same sickly looking way, and I`m deathly embarrassed by them, I really hope this will lighten them.

My skin: Taken in early morning, before sun came up, Lamp light 7am.

(Lamp gives off a yellow cast >.< )

How to use: Wet your skin, be it body or face, lather up a generous amount to the area you want to use it in, massage well, and let it sit for AT LEAST THREE MINUTES (if you want to see any results you have to let it sit on your skin for at least this long)

Packaging: Personally I could care less about how packaging looks, though I know it matters to allot of people. I don`t like, nor hate this packaging, though I think it fits the product well. Why have the packaging outside the diamond inside?
Overall: 5/10

Scent: Very nice mild fruit scent, not unpleasant at all, so even the most sensitive nose should be able to handle this.
Overall: 7/10

Texture: once in a lather it feel much thicker than most soaps, which I find good, you get a lot with little use.
Overall: 8/10

Effectiveness: I have been using mine in the shower a few times a week, (so far three) and when I get out of the shower, my neck and chest look so nice and bright, though I don`t think I`ll see any real results until a good two or three months of use.
Overall: 7/10

Side Effects: I will admit, when I first some out of the shower, my skin does feel tighter, though it only last for about 5 minutes, soon after everything feels fine.

I will continue to use this for the next couple of months, along with my RiceDay Soap when it arrives, and I will do a follow up review to show you guys the results of this product.

I have a lot of new stuff to review, so I should post again soon
Till next time, Talk to you guys later.

Circle Len Review: Princess Mimi Grey

I havn`t posted in forever, and here I said I would, well I guess it`s better late then never, lately there has been alot of problems happen in my life, I wont go into detail about them. The world can be depressing enough without my help. If anything I would rather brighten someones day, and maybe this might help. I know it`s not much, but its something.

Geo Bambi  (Princess Mimi) 15.0m

From: HoneyColor.com
Color: Sesame Grey

My very first review, and I`ve choosen to review a new set (Of my all time fav) Circle lens. I bought a new pair, cause my old ones had expired. From: HONEYCOLOR ( http://www.honeycolor.com/ )

They finally arrive, and within a week too, from how it looked, I thought it would take up to a month to get here (Canada). I was so happy when I got them. And a few hours before work too! So I was able to have them sit so I could wear them before going.

Color/Design 10/10: I love the design, and they blend wonderfully with my natural Grey/green eyes. My boyfriend hates when I cover up my eyes with my contacts, but these are his fav because he can still see my color under them.

Comfort 8/10: The first day I started wearing this set, I was at work for event night, and my eyes started burning so I took them out, and my eyes only burned worse, so I don't think it was because of these lens, I'm sure it was because of the mascara I was wearing. I had just started wearing a heavier kind.
Though the next time I put them in, a day or so later, they felt fine, after a few minuets I could hardly tell I was wearing anything at all. And I can wear these up to 7 hours (I know you shouldn't wear them for so long) without having to use eyedrops.

Enlargement 8/10: In the sample picture it doesn't look like too much of a difference but these make my eyes big and beautiful. I wouldn't mind larger though.
Price 8/10: affordable, 5$ for shipping, all togehter I think I paid 24.99$ (canada currency)

Overall 8/10: I know from personal exprince how hard it is to find a nice lens that is natural and blends with my natural color, cause I don't quite suit, green, blue, or grey, you can always tell I'm wearing something if you look close enough. With these no one ever notices them, other then the size that gives them away. If your looking for a nice pair, nice color, good enlargment, and price, I recommend these.

The only compaint I have is this ugly contact case, I know some people say these are cute, but I hate not being abel to see my contacts while inside. I never know if their sitting right, and this case is a pain in the ass when trying to get my contacts out!

Hope this helps someone in choosing a new pair of lens. Let me know what you guys think of my first review. If I talked too much, or didn't give enough detail about the items.

Be back soon with more, I promise this time. <3
